skype internet usage Usage

Can anyone please tell me if Skype uses a lot of internet usage, and is there a difference in the usage if you just use voice call and not video?

So a high quality video call could use around 4MB per minute each way.  So it's probably safe to assume that each minute you are on a video call (high quality, not HD) you're using about 10MB of your usage allowance.

Voice only calling however uses about 25-30MB per hour.

Re: skype internet usage Usage

I've found during testing that Skype uses on average about 200-300mb of data (up & down combined) per hour of usage on a video call, and around 40-50mb per hour on a voice only call.
