my internet was suddenly disconnected. i still cannot access the internet until now(over 30mins) what happen?

I dont know if this is just co-incidence but that just happened to me as well. i was on the internet for about 20 mins and then suddenly my modem said i wasnt connected to the internet. i was sure it was my router playing up as i reset it and the internet light came back on but i was still not able to access anything. From melbourne australia.
