How connect mac to printer via tg587n modem?

I can connect my windows laptop to my cannon printer ( not easy) But can get mac to work with the printer
Any Suggestions?

If the Canon printer is an actual Print Server, it should be as simple as putting in the IP address of the Canon device.
You may also need to change the Windows Network of your Mac, which you can do in System Preferences > Network > [Connection Type] (WiFi/Ethernet) > Advanced > WINS and change the WORKGROUP name.
