Hi,
Just wanted to know if Telstra are getting the Nokia Lumia 920.
I note that Optus was the only carrier that had the Lumia 900. However given that the 920 is 4G and the Optus 4G network is not that great (non-existent where I live) it would be great if Telstra would offer the 920.

Hey tg01,
There is a thread on this in the Windows Phone section: http://crowdsupport.telstra.com.au/t5/Windows-Phon
Telstra are "no comment" on new devices till they are ready to launch (media/PR etc) them. Rumour has it that NOV will see them arrive here.
Being that they are 4G AND speccéd right up - I would expect Telstra to definately be carrying them (or at least the 920).
Will report back when I hear anything firm (in the Windows Phone section).
Cheers,
Sheeds.

Well, since Optus had the 900, and Telstra was stuck with the 800, it's only fair we get the 920 this time around ![]()
Not to mention the fact it's been confirmed elsewhere that the 920 WILL be available "Sometime in late november" on Telstra's 4G Network. Oh, and even pricing has been confirmed, $5 per month on the $60 Everyday Connect plan, and free on the $80 and $100 Everyday Connect Plans...
@Compositme It seems your fears were misplaced ![]()
"Telstra operates frequency-division (FD) LTE on the 1800 MHz spectrum band."

I just checked Nokia Lumia 920 and here's what I have to say.
1. Boy it's big. Probably too big for me.
2. Weight seemed normal, maybe the big size "tunes" your perception, it seemed like another plastic phone, weight is like any hollow plastic phone.
3. Very good screen but is feels "unused" i.e. so much white space everywhere, I stared between lines a lot...I wish the screen was smaller, but maybe web browsing is good, hm? ...and here we come to last point.
4. 4G LTE speed/network on this phone - I was having strong issues, hungups, "Page loading" for over a minute. Simply put it was not working. It seemed like on the network, but would not fetch pages, no errors give just waiting a lot.
I am not gonna buy this. It most likely still has firmware issues and seems to be getting off the data network without realizing this... Also noticed huge UI lags - opened Music, and there was only white page and nothing. Hardly ever closed the app as it was not responsive.
Sorry Nokia, now i can see why you're holding them at bay for now...
