Hi, I am interested in knowing more about prepaid as I have never had prepaid before.
I am considering buying a pre-paid kit for use during holidays / travelling as I dont need it at home.
If you dont keep a prepaid service in credit and the SIM is inactive for a period of time does Telstra expire / disconnect the SIM?
If this happens, how long is the period from expiry to disconnection?
Can you reconnect the SIM if it is disconnected without having to buy a new SIM or paying a connection fee?
Thanks
Damien

IIRC you get 6 months from the expiry of your last recharge before the number is disconnected.
They would need you to purchase a new SIM if you wanted another service and you will likely lose the right to use that number.
