With no real release of decent firmware for this overprice device... I mean cordless DECT phone!!
Features needed????
1. DLNA support
2. SAMBA share etc.
3. Support forr acces to gallery/slideshow from your NAS etc.
4. All user to add their icon's ... not just Telstra owend and operated companies.. and the several paid ones eg. CBA, NAB etc..... (there are other banks out there)
5. Syncing of the calendar data
6. When the calendar beep goes off (reminder) needs the user to be able to modify as you would miss it!!! (major issues in the house)
7. Updating the facebook app icon.... it's easier to get to the facebook via the webpage
8. Better email support (faster integration)
When we talk about your statements of upgrade cycles, we must be talking in years not months are most real xompetitive private comapnies do.
Look farward to a positive reply with a real road map and upfate program to implement these features and more.
What makes it easier to do is that most the software used in the T Hub is based on a linux kernel, arm processer and aoftware is GPL and LGPL so updates are all ways available with improvements and stabiity.
Over to telstra

Hi wholly,
Firstly, I would like to welcome you to the forum.
I have read through your suggestions and they all sound good to me
but I need to stress that the staff, both visiting and my team who manage the forum, are not able to provide information that is not publicly available. This means that while we are happy to pass on your suggestions we are not always able to answer specific questions, especially with regards to unreleased/unannouced products or updates to existing products.
In this instance I have passed your suggestions on to our T-Hub product manager for you and he has asked that I share some information with you ![]()
Since the inception of the T-Hub, there has been significant developments in the areas of technology and as a result a higher expectation of device capabilities. As such, we continue to evaluate whether our products, such as the T-Hub, are meeting the needs of the target market. The suggestions that you have outlined are aligned with our product roadmap and customer focus
The launch of the Connected Home campaign is a signal to the market that Telstra is dedicated to offering products and services that enable customers to access private and public media and content across devices within and outside of the home. Over the coming months Telstra will continue to promote the Connected Home and the devices that will support this strategy.

Thanks for the info,,,,
I hope it is just not PR speak speak, for awesome connected home product but fails for most the real challnege of convergence. [Telstra no. 1 priority is to get all customers onto contracts to reduce churning and lock people in ahead of the NBN]
I wait with baited breath to see when the next firmware is realeased that addresses the real technical issues that currently exist! (major challenges ahead),,,
I would love to know more about the tiemlines of functions as this device with its Freescale i.MX31 SoC chip [ARM11] can do some great things (not a tablet, but can do most thinks like a tablet in the kitchen/foyer area)! [chips is used in the FORD SYNC]
