Yeah, we get that too, though not as often as you claim to have this problem... No audible or visual phone call, just a missed-call alert on-screen.
We also had a similar issue with my mobile (though it would actually ring) and using certain connections of mine from my many years in the telecommunications industry, I was able to directly identify the the phone number that was calling me... This unfortunately, proved fruitless information however, as the number calling me was a dead line.

Hello cathy1,
Could I just confirm if you have Messagebank and Calling Number Display active on your telephone service? Thanks.

Hi Gregoryopera,
Messagebank or Telstra Messages 101 is required but Calling Number Display is optional.
We do recommend to have both active as per the User Guide.

The phantom calls that you have recieved, also known as "ghost calls" is usually caused by either a poor quality phone line, aka has a high amount of noise or foreign battery due to the line or your on an older copper line. The other cause of ghost calls is a fax duet line or if a fax is being recieved, If a fax is being recieved the T-Hub will answer the call thinking its a voice call rather than a data call (FAX). I would recommend to call T-Hub support on 1300136841 as they should have access to the systems to check all this.
I am employed by Telstra however, my advice and opinion is that of my own and in no way is Telstra responsible for my actions.

I would have thought that they would be relatively high-quality and good condition, seeing as the Puckapunyal Military Area has its own, dedicated exchange serving both the married patch (residential properties) and military facilities within the Puckapunyal Military Area?

Hi Joe@Telstra
We get exactly the problem mentioned by Cathy. You were going to research this and get back to her - to date I don't think you have?...
Can you please advise, as this issue is getting worse. We have message bank, caller ID activated, and no fax lines etc.
thanks
Anthony

We are having the same problem with these ghost calls. The T Hub rings but the phone doesn't. There is no number listed on incoming calls. Why hasn't Joe replied to this thread? It's obviously a common problem. Joe what can I do?

This topic was started last year and Joe@telstra said he was going to get back with a reply, but it's been 2 months and no reply from him. Maybe if I start the topic again I will get a response. My T Hub, and it seems a lot of other peoples going by the previous thread keeps making theses phantom rings. The T Hub rings but not the handsets. The incoming calls display on the T Hub shows an incoming call but it doesn't say anything else like the phone number or that it was a private number. It's happening more frequently now. Joe where are you? You were going to get back to us about this problem.

Not discounitng the possibility that there's a problem with the device but I should point out that such a scenario is quite possible without any faults.
Caller ID signals are delivered in the gap between the rings (as I understand it). So, if a call is short enough (somebody presses your home button on their mobile by mistake and then immediately hangs up and that small delay causes your phone to start ringing) then the line might ring but the Caller ID never make it. So a missed call with no CNID and no "BLOCKED", "PRIVATE", etc is quite possible.
Also, many DECT systems and other cordless systems have slight delays in getting rings out to handsets. If you have a fixed phone and a cordless in your home, you'll usually find they ring at slightly dfiferent times. It's possible that the T-Hub starts ringing, stops almost immediately and the other handsets haven't had a chance to ring.
Not saying there isn't a fault in your T-Hub (and others). Just pointing out a reasonable explanation for how it might happen without any faults.
Kevin
