Nokia Lumia 900 LTE handset coming to Telstra in 2012?

Pretty excited to receive a tip-off today from someone suggesting that Telstra will be releasing a LTE Windows Phone device in 2012 - and that it is supposed to be the fabled Nokia Lumia 900. Excitement ++++ (See my profile for my blog link where I have detailed information)

We've not had any word as of yet in regard to the Nokia Lumia 900 LTE and therefore unable to confirm if this is actually the case, however, more than confident that we'll let everyone know when we know.

For Aus - Telstra, you will need to discuss a localised version of the hardware that supports your 1800band 4G network (and not the 1700band US release version).

Telstra would do well to contact Nokia and Microsoft (Australia) ASAP and get the ball rolling without delay so they can access the "hero" marketing money and also incetives mentioned here:

I think it is time for Telstra to get serious about this extraordinary device (and all WP7) as soon as possible and have it ready before the predicted launch of Window 8 that this device is designed to work seemlessly with.

I know that Android and iPhone are getting a huge push be we need a level palying field so this can be a three horse race

Well I'm currently with a different Carrier and just out of contract. As soon as Telstra get the Nokia Lumia 900 I will sign up for it on Telstra for a 2 year contract!

I set myself an aim in < 1 month to try and get 250 signatures on my Lumia 900 petition from Telstra.  With today being the final day of the month - I need 27 more to hit my target! C'mon vote away (see my profile)

So now we have confirmation of the Nokia 900 being rolled out to another country with LTE (Canada). Perhaps Australia isn't that far away, either?

Nevertheless, Nokia has also announced plans at MWC for a DCHSPA version of the 900 to roll out internationally.

Personally, I'd much rather have the DCHSPA 900 if it means I could get my hands on it sooner than waiting for the LTE version!

What about everyone else? Wait for an LTE version to become available, or grab the DCHSPA?
