AFL Live App crashes immediately on Android 4.4.2

Answered

Hey, been having some issues with the AFL Live App since the latest update. I still get notifications sent to my phone as per usual, however every time I try to open the app it just crashes. My phone is running 4.4.2, any suggestions?

EDIT: There was apparently another update, it now opens but refuses to connect to the internet (on mobile data). I checked the Google Play store page for the app and it says that the latest compatibility is 4.4.

Hi @HaydenE

Thank you for your post, my apologies for any confusion.

Unfortunately, that information from the Google Play store is out of date, and we're currently organising to have it updated.

The AFL Live App is supported for Android devices running Android 5 and above.

My apologies for any inconvenience.

The latest compatibility is actually Android 5.0 and above.

Pulled directly from the Google Play Store page. Where did you see it was 5.0? If that's true I can upgrade but I'd rather avoid it if I can help it.

They'd better update that. It hasn't supported Android 4.4.4 for a while now.

The FAQs state Android 5+
