Important Changes to AFL Live Pass Website Subscriptions

From 5th December 2019, we will no longer be supporting AFL Live Pass subscriptions purchased via the website, afl.com.au/livepass.

If you have purchased an Annual AFL Live Pass subscription via afl.com.au/livepass, your annual subscription service will be cancelled from 5th December 2019. Re: Important Changes to AFL Live Pass Website Subscriptions

In past seasons, I was unable to access game replays via the website when signing up through the app store. Will that be the case in 2020?

Re: Important Changes to AFL Live Pass Website Subscriptions

Hi @APoly

Thank you for your post.

Since the beginning of the 2019 AFL season, users who subscribed via Google Play or iTunes have been able to link their subscription to a TelstraID to access full match replays on the AFL Website.

You can do this in-app via More > My Account > AFL Live Pass > Link Your Live Pass.

Please let us know if you require any further assistance.

Re: Important Changes to AFL Live Pass Website Subscriptions

With my annual live pass $99.99 per year, can I still watch replays of matches from earlier seasons; say 2013 on my laptop? The so-called "Premium Content" only appears to be for the current year so I guess I am making an error.

Hi @Puffinus_pacifi

Thank you for your post.

Due to the new website upgrade, the full catalouge of match replays is not currently available via the AFL Website.

More information about the new website can be found here: https://tel.st/3e9qb

All replays are still available via the AFL Live App on compatible mobile or tablet devices.

Re: Important Changes to AFL Live Pass Website Subscriptions

Hi @Jono4343

No, eligible Telstra Mobile customers do not pay monthly or annually for an AFL Live Pass.

All support for the AFL Live Pass is done here on CrowdSupport.

Unfortunately, Live Chat have provided the incorrect information as they are not trained to assist with AFL Live Pass enquries.

If you are a pre-paid Telstra Mobile customer, you can still redeem the AFL Live Pass free of charge whilst connected to the Telstra Mobile network.

Pre-paid customers can keep watching until 31 Jan 2021 or 60 days from your last $30+ recharge, whichever is earlier.

You must continue to recharge at least $30 on a Telstra Pre-Paid offer in order to continue accessing the Season Pass until 31 Jan 2021.

Re: Important Changes to AFL Live Pass Website Subscriptions

I just realised I am being charged $25 a week for an AFL Live subscription.  I don't understand what this charge is for given we are not even in football season.  I am also a Telstra mobile customer so this app was supposed to be free.  I cannot cancel this subscriptionand I want to be refunded these charges.  I cannot find anyone to speak to about this despite looking online for a long time.  Please help me.

Re: Important Changes to AFL Live Pass Website Subscriptions

Hello @NickA005,

Thanks for getting in touch, for Live Pass assistance all support is offered here on Crowd Support, as directed by the AFL Website

and the support option within the AFL App.

There is no $25 a week subscription option for an AFL Live Pass, therefore this charge is for another service, possibly WatchAFL.

(WatchAFL is managed by Foxtel, and is not associated with Telstra's AFL Live Pass)

To redeem a free live pass as a Telstra customer, open the AFL App on your Telstra mobile while connected to Telstra's mobile network (turn off Wi-Fi)

and select 'Free for Telstra Mobile Customers' to redeem a free Live Pass. There is no need to enter credit card details and agree to ongoing charges.

A subscription by definition is an ongoing service, many AFL Live Pass customer's continue to subscribe over the off season as there are still other premium features

like full match replays to access. Generally a subscription does not end until the subscriber cancels the subscription.

We are unable to assist in WatchAFL enquiries, to get in touch with them, follow this link: https://tel.st/xmrm4

Re: Important Changes to AFL Live Pass Website Subscriptions

@aaron_h and @NickA005 ,

Being $25 per week, it doesn't correspond to a WatchAFL subscription either (WatchAFL is $19 per week). If it was $25 per month, then I'd say it was a Kayo Sports subscription.

@NickA005 , what is the description next to the charge on your statement?

Re: Important Changes to AFL Live Pass Website Subscriptions

Hi @Jupiter

During the AFL Finals, the subscription price for WatchAFL increases to $25 per week which is why we advised @NickA005 to look into this further.

Thanks
