Watching in full screen

Answered

When I watch the live pass, I get the match and on the right and below a bunch of stats that I can’t work out how to remove from my screen. So the actual size of the telecast is tiny, because half of the iPad screen is taken up by these stats. Can I get rid of them and just watch in full screen mode?

Re: Watching in full screen

Hi @BomberCharlton

Thank you for your post.

As per the terms and conditions of the AFL Live Pass, live streaming is restricted to a 7 inch screen size.

If the screen of your device is larger than 7 inches, the rest of the screen will be taken up by stats.

Unfortunately at this time there is no option to remove these.

You can view match replays in full screen 12 hours after the conclusion of a match.

Re: Watching in full screen

So the thing is crap you should let people know of this restriction before purchase. It’s strange how you can watch it on a Samsung phone and link it to a smart tv full screen but can’t watch it on an iPad that sucks

Re: Watching in full screen

Hello @vaughy,

Thanks for your message.

The Terms of Use are provided prior to purchasing an AFL Live Pass. The Live Pass can only be purchased

once these terms are agreed to.

It is not possible to cast the AFL Live App, whether using Samsung, Apple, or any other supported device.

This has always been the case for the AFL App and is one of the conditions the AFL and Telstra agreed to in the

latest Digital Broadcast Rights Agreement.

As the Agreement is in place until 2022, this will not change until at least then.

You can find the full explanation in the Terms and Conditions accepted to access the Live Pass, or the FAQ page.

Re: Watching in full screen

Well it sucks watching games on half IPad size. I have to watch quite a few games this way & foe $5 a week I thought at least I would be watching full screen.

Will reconsider not continuing this app cost.

Re: Watching in full screen

Hello @muzza1942,

Apologies for the inconvenience this restriction causes you.

The current Digital Broadcast Rights Agreement signed between the AFL and Telstra

is in place until 2022, therefore this restriction will be in place until at least then.

As previously mentioned, there are no restrictions on full match replays.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist with
