We provide recharge amounts and expiry periods for a variety of use cases and needs –from getting connected on your tablet on the way to work, to keeping the whole family online while on your summer holiday. And Pre-Paid means customers have the flexibility to pay in advance for the data they think they need.

Things you need to know: Telstra Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband Plus can be used on Telstra Mobile Broadband devices or Telstra Pre-Paid SIM Starter Kits. Excludes use while overseas. For $30, $50 and $90 recharges, unused data expires unless you recharge$30, $50 or $90 before expiry. Any unused data will then roll over and expire at the end of the next 28 day period.

Plus, along with these great recharge offers, you can still get our data-free extras such as streaming of Apple Music and watch every AFL and NRL game of the season (when you maintain a $30+ recharge)




How is Telstra Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband Plus different from Telstra Pre-Paid Data Pass II?
Great options for customers who want lots of data–there’s 3 new 28 day recharges, $30 for 3GB, 10GB for $50 and $90 for 25GB. With these 28 day recharges, when customers recharge before expiry any unused data will roll over to use within their next recharge. More value in our365 day expiry recharge–great to keep handy, the $150 recharge gives you heaps of data to enjoy in a year. And on Mobile Broadband Plus the $150 recharge comes with 25GB, 5GB more than Data Pass II.

How does roll over work?
When recharging between $30, $50 or $90, keep what you don’t use. If you recharge before the expiry date, any unused data from your current recharge will be rolled over to the new expiry date. Unused data rolls over to the next recharge only (i.e. a further 28 days). Any data that has already rolled over from a previous recharge will not roll over again. Data on the $150 365 day expiry recharge does not roll over. Data expires after 365 days.

Can I make calls or send text messages using my Telstra Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband Plus service?
No. These recharges exclude usage such as calls and SMS to Australian and International numbers, content purchases, all use while overseas as well as pay-as-you-go data.

I’m an existing Telstra Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband customer; will I get the benefits of the new Telstra Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband Plus offer?
No, you’ll need to switch from your current Mobile Broadband offer to the new Telstra Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband Plus offer first. You can change to Telstra Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband Plus in My Account or Telstra 24/7® App (if using an enabled tablet) #100# (if using an enabled tablet) Select the “Change Offer” option and follow the prompts.

If I switch to /change from a previous offer to Telstra Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband Plus, will I notice any differences?
Yes, the amount of data or the data expiry period you receive when you recharge at some amounts may be different. The data rollover rules are also different. Please compare your current offer to the new Telstra Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband Plus offer before you make your decision to change. Once you change you cannot switch back.

If I switch to Telstra Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband Plus, can I switch back to my old offer?
If you switch to the new Telstra Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband Plus, you will not be able to switch back to your old Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband offer.

Telstra Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband Plus doesn’t appeal to me; can I stay on my current offer?
Yes, you can stay on your current offer Telstra Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband offer.

Can I use Automatic Recharge with Telstra Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband Plus?
Yes, Scheduled Monthly Recharge is compatible with the 28 day recharges. With Scheduled Monthly Recharge, you can recharge your Pre-Paid service automatically. The amount you set will be automatically deducted from your chosen payment method on the date you choose each month. We’ll make sure your inclusions last until your next scheduled recharge date by extending their expiry period for Scheduled Monthly Recharge customers. The other type of automatic recharge, Balance Based Recharge, is not compatible with Telstra Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband Plus. See here for more information.

Can Plus Packs or Top Ups be applied?
No. Plus Packs and Top Up Packs will be unavailable to purchase while on the Telstra Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband Plus offer.

How do I roam overseas with Telstra Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband Plus?
Overseas usage is excluded on this offer. Data included with recharges is for use in Australia only. There are also no applicable roaming packs for this offer.

Can I purchase Google Play content using my credit?
If you activate on, or switch to, Telstra Pre-Paid Mobile Broadband Plus, you won’t be able to purchase content from Google Play using included credit.
