Foxtel and Cable broadband

Is there a reason why the cable broadband service has been so poor in recent months in Casula area and am I entitled to some form of compensation? Currently have no internet or foxtel outages again...

Looks like your area is ready for nbn over hfc cable so that means that the network in your area is now owned by nbnco.

Typically once they start working on an area it can have impact on overall experience as they have to adjust the network and more premises are being connected.

With regards to any adjustments, you can request a credit from billing but typically it is only for the downtime experienced.

Foxtel have said they are progressively moving people off HFC onto Satellite because of the issues so you can speak to the Foxtel support team and they can have you migrated earlier from my understanding. If you currently have an older box it would mean a change of box, I have seen people say they were given the IQ4 so a good way to get an upgrade, also means they don’t both go down because one has an issue.

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately when I checked my address in the nbnco register it says Planned to be available from
Apr-Jun 2019*
Note: Some premises may require more work before they are ready to connect.
So looks like several moreonths of pain 🙁
