Late payment fee on an account that’s in credit?

My account is in credit following an adjustment after a previous billing mistake by Telstra, I now have a late fee charged to this same account without any further charges made to this account.

How is this possible?

Give 132200 a call, or chat online via Livechat. The consultants should be able to see what has happened and rectify it.

 

Most likely explanation is that the credit didn't apply (the application of a credit is not instant) until after the last due date, which would have triggered the late payment fee.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
