Blocked from accessing email on one account - Business Broadband
I am having problems accessing emails for one account (I access several) via an email client. Webmail works fine. I am using a 2WIRE modem with the default in/out access settings. I am supposed to access the IMAP account using Port 993 for incoming and Port 465 for outgoing.
I actually have the exact same setup (modem etc) at a different location and can access the email account without issues.
And if I bypass the modem and use a Telstra 4g moblie broadband modem, the email can be accessed. This suggests that my account is blocking either ports or ip addresses. I can't see a way of amending outgoing settings in the Firewall settings in the modem/router.
Is the service you are having difficulties accessing emails on using a Telstra Internet Direct service? If it is, your best option is to contact our Tech Support Team on 132 999 so that they can assist you straight away with this.
If you have a BigPond ADSL service, then you can contact us on 133 933 or via Live Chat .
