I ordered a new NBN Telstra line for my business in Waurn Ponds 3216 Victoria yesterday. I was advised that the site I'm connecting is unavailable for ADSL, as NBN has been switched on in that area, and that it will be up to three months before my line is established. I'm needing to begin operating the business by the end of March.
Does it genuinely take up to three months for an NBN connection to be established in Waurn Ponds, Victoria? Thanks.
It can be, depending on the availability of NBN Co crews and the status of the rollout in the area. Once the NBN starts rolling out in an area, Telstra can no longer perform any of the physical works themselves and are beholden to NBN Co.
Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
