Hey, at work we're (still stuck) using the supplied business grade V7610 modem. A few times now in the last several weeks our NBN has cr4pped itself leaving us running off the 4G dongle on the V7610. We've since discovered that it basically breaks our office in that case, as it stops supporting the office static IP until the NBN is back up - so no emails can reach the office server, no remote support can happen, etc.
As a desperate solution I'd thought to set up DynDNS using the provided system on the V7610. But 'lo, as soon as I try it, it refuses to save the setup, complaining of an "invalid hostname" (I suspect because the hostname "deigns" to use a fullstop).
Help! How to get this business grade modem to support this (or any) simple business grade services?

As hostnames can only contain letters and numbers, if you are entering a fullstop, this would definitely be the issue. Make sure you only enter the hostname before the . as the rest shouldn't be required as it is selected in the drop down box. You will need to use a Dynamic DNS from www.dyndns.org
