Why did Telstra turn off My Copper Wire from my NBN Fixed Wireless

As a consequence of turning off my fixed copper wire phone line I cannot receive or send faxes. I can still make and receive phone calls but not faxes. Why has this happened?

Was this helpful?

  • Yes it was, thank you
  • No, I still need help

Re: Why did Telstra turn off My Copper Wire from my NBN Fixed Wireless

Just to clarify does your phone connect to a green phone port in the back of your modem, which conects to the NBN box on the wall or does it still connect to phone socket on the wall?

If its connecting to the back of your modem then your copper line would have been disconnected. In general fax doesnt work on consumer NBN unless you have NBN FTTP or if the copper line stays active on fixed wireless.
I personally use NBN FTTP 100/40 on the Smart Modem Gen 2 with Smart Home and the Telstra TV 2
On the go and at home my Mobile connects to Telstras 4G network.

I'm not here in an official capacity. My opinions are my own and not that of Telstra's.
