Business Line Profiles/Interleaving?

Answered

Hello i have Business ADSL2+ and was wanting to change my line profile but i do no see any options for this in the dashboard anywhere. I also looked in the cust data section. I was wondering if it's possible on a business line?

I currently get max speeds for the line (well pretty much) and would like to try a low latency profile if possible. I dont mind losing some of the speed to get better latency. Is this possible on business ADSL? I tried online support but they did not understand what i wanted to do.

Thank you

Re: Business Line Profiles/Interleaving?

Hi nikolai,

Stability profile normally is added to help with services that are dropping constantly. It will help to stabilise the line at a cost of lowering the speed a little bit. Some customers do wish to put it on to help with any line fluctuations they may have.

If that is what you would like done, you can speak to a BIG consultant and ask for a stability profile added to your service.

If you would like for me to follow it up for you, I have sent you a private message with a link.

Thanks

Hi Nikolai,

I will ask one of my tech specialists to stop by this thread tomorrow when they are back so they can help with changing your line profile

Re: Business Line Profiles/Interleaving?

Hi nikolai,

Can you please clarify your request for low latency for me? Is that the same as wanting to add a stability profile onto the line? If that is the case, that unfortunately cannot be done via Custdata. Normally it is something done over the phone when speaking to a Technical Support Consultant.

Thanks

Re: Business Line Profiles/Interleaving?

I'm not sure how they're named on telstra. I think stability would be similar to what i am currently on. Stable line but higher latency with higher speeds. I think low latency would be with less noise? I'm not too sure. On other ISP's it would be called a low latency profile. But what your saying is the right kind of thing. How can i phone in and get to a tech that will understand what i am talking about?
