Long time telstra customers out of contract are not offered the same discounts that new customers are, and the reason is attributed to telstra's billing system. Apparently it is unable to apply discounts to existing customers. Seemingly convenient excuse.
Case in point; the online offer "GO Business Mobile SIM plans" includes a $10 discount for new customers only. Contacting online and phone representatives provides above excuse.
I see other posts which recommend disconnecting, or threatening to disconnect the service. An angel appears and says actually, yes we can do something for you. Do we seriously have to go to all this trouble?
