Adding a second phone to DOT

Hi,

 

Have the standard CIsco phone that came with the DOT bundle and the Cisco SRP527W, but I have bought a Cisco 7940 series phone and need to add it to the DOT router.

 

Once plugged in it goes through and starts configuring and get "Phone unprovisioned" on the phone. In the router it says that it is "not registered" on line 2. I ahve put all the setting similar to line 1, but it asks for a admin password, obvioulsy not the router password.

 

Anyone got any ideas or who I can call to get a second phone active?

Hi Smiler,

 

I have asked my colleagues in the DOT team regarding this and they have advised that this would need to be escalated to have the phone provisioned on your service ... provided that they have a profile to support the Cisco 7940 which I can't guarantee that they do.

If in doubt, the best way to speak with a consultant trained in this product is to call 132 999 and say "Digital Business"
