which has better call quality and reliability, fibre phone or voip? Can an office ISDN system with 5 lines and a fax with faxstream duet be moved from copper to either? We have received a letter from Telstra saying the copper lines will be removed end of next year. Our office system is still on copper because NBN advised it doesnt support ISDN lines, havent heard from them since. NBN internet working fine 100mbs
To be perfectly honest, I would head into your nearest Telstra Business Centre and have a chat with them about your requirements. Getting advice from here about your specific setup could head you off in the wrong direction, so I won't do that to you.
But, in general:
VOIP and Fibre Phone are both the same type of system (both VOIP).
The Duet products do not work on the NBN, and fax machines can be an issue unless you are set up specifically to handle them.
Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
