I've gone over my usage for this month and I've used up all my top ups already, is it possible for me to pay for a top up?

No. Your only option really is to upgrade to a plan that has more data included.
Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
