Smart Home cameras won't connect

Answered

Hi,

I bought a Smart Home system a couple of months ago and set it up and it was working fine on my Telstra router.  I've recently connected to the NBN and have a new router and now my cameras won't connect at all.  I've read some of the posts here and have reset the cameras and tried to connect them numerous times and they won't connect.  My door sensors are the only things that work.  I've called and spoken to a number of people at Telstra and even made two complaints to try and get something done.  The people I've spoken to on the phone often don't know what I'm talking about and ask silly questions like where did I buy the cameras from and perhaps I should contact them for advice...seriously? I know it's a relatively new product but come on.   I'm currently again waiting for a callback to address my concerns but I'm not holding out much hope.  Can anyone help me with this?

Re: Smart Home cameras won't connect

hi @stenocat     First,  try using WPS to establish the Wi-Fi connection between your camera and your new router as per the original camera set-up instructions  https://www.telstra.com.au/support/category/smart-home/other/smart-home-outdoor-camera-setup

If this is not successful, you can factory reset your camera using the instructions at

https://www.telstra.com.au/support/category/smart-home/other/smart-home-troubleshooting-your-camera  and then use WPS to pair the camera to your new router

Let us know how you go.

Cheers,
Greg

Which model modem do you have?

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
