I have recently upgraded to the iQ3 and was wondering if it is able to stream 4K when the new 4K channels come into affect in October.

From what I understand, the iQ3 boxes that were issued since February this year are technically iQ4 boxes. However, you will only be able to stream the 4K channels if you are on a Satellite based service. If you are on Cable, then you will need to be migrated to satellite.
Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

Hey MattyC, do you know why I'm getting IQ4 error messages appearing when I have an IQ3 box?

This has recently impacted some of my show recordings. Assuming Jupiter was correct above - "iQ3 boxes that were issued since February this year are technically iQ4 boxes" is there a way I can resolve this?

Have rebooted the box a few times but this doesn't solve the issue.

Hey OzPom,

 

This will have to be checked further with the Foxtel Faults team directly to see if this error can be fixed further. They can be reached on 131999 and saying "Faults" when prompted from 07:30 - 23:00 Mon-Sun EST.
