I agree. Have been with Telstra for over 19 years. My contract has expired yet I cannot move to new packages without closing my account and waiting 3 months before I can re-apply. This poor business and totally unacceptable
Pretty standard business strategy across the world.
Feels bad for the existing customer, but its proven to work better than the reverse.
Best thing to do is called up the disconnections team, threaten to disconnect and see what they can whip up for you to keep you as a customer
