ip camera connection

I am having trouble connecting my IP camera. I had it connected to my last modem (technicolor TG799vac) and when i changed to the Smart modem the IP address didn't appear. When i attached it on the LAN thru cable it was LAN IP 192.168.0.155 .How can i get this camera to WiFi? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Re: ip camera connection

You could try turning off band steering in the 2.4GHz band this will result in -5G being added to the end of the 5GHz WiFi band SSID. Most IP camera's only work on 2.4GHz WiFi and some can't connect when the two WiFi bands have the same SSID.

When you are connected to the camera by LAN cable make sure the camera's WiFi IP address is set to use DHCP, auto or dynamic IP.
