ADSL 2 drop outs

For the last few days, modem keeps dropping out intermittently, then restores itself. ECo and Internet lights go red.

In Corrimal NSW.

Modem is a Telstra branded Technicolour TG587 (Technicolour Gateway)

Have checked connections, and powered down and rebooted, but problem continues to occur.

The first thing you want to try is an isolation test. This helps rule out some common causes of dropouts/slow speeds.

Have you checked to see if there is noise/static on the line at the time the dropouts occur?

If you've completed an isolation test, then give tech support a call and report a fault.
