Bigpond Routing issue

Answered

Hi Team,

Can you please help with me with Bigpond routing issue ?

It seems that there has been some access blocked/denied when someone is trying to access some websites in the US. When the user uses a different internet connection with other provider, the routing doesn't have any issue.

is there any chance that I can be pointed to the right department to check this issue ?

Thanks,

Re: Bigpond Routing issue

That's a good one.

You could try ipconfig /flushdns to clear any routing tables, or you could change the DNS to 8.8.8.8 to see if that fixes it.

Can you let us know what websites are blocked?

We'll see if they are a general block, or something wrong with the routing on your end.

Re: Bigpond Routing issue

I have a Bigpond static IP on ADSL. I can access iberia.com without any issues.

Sounds like perhaps the website has blocked your IP for some reason. I'd get in contact with the site operators and see what the reason is that they have done this, and ask them if they can remove the IP block.

Re: Bigpond Routing issue

The IT was saying that Bigpond static IP address is blocked (unsure if this is an error on Telstra’s side of somewhere in the states).
