It's currently listed as Under Investigation, so no update on when it will be restored. Just waiting for NBN Co to figure out what has gone wrong (as NBN Co own the infrastructure now that the rollout has started).
Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
Hello, you should be able to use a Hot Spot from your mobile phone for internet to your computer. If you have a desktop without wireless, Officeworks sell a USB wireless device by DLink, model DWA-160 for about $50. Hope that helps
