Cable internet connection

My family & I live in the city of Birkdale, QLD, we lost our signal WAN on our internet connection for at least 20 hrs with no signal still at this time of posting this enquiry, I have tried to contact Telstra through varies means, no reply on if it is my modem or the service connection, I have done checks on my modem agian & agian, can some one please give me a reason that I lost my connection?

There is an outrage currently listed and it is under investigation with a provisional ETA of 11 hours.
Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
