Hello...you should check the status on the Telstra Outages website outages.telstra.com.au
A "Like" is always appreciated. If my advice is a solution, please mark it. I'm not a Telstra employee. 50 + years exp. in radio comms., eg mobile phones since 1963, two-way radios, base stations, antennas & pagers. My motto: "Doing the right thing is never wrong".
I checked on the website but it showed there was no outage in my area. I finally got hold of one of technician on the phone after 1hr 19min waiting, and she verified there was actually an outage in my area which would be fixed tomorrow by 7pm according to her internal notes. That was exactly the problem where Telstra website should update outage information promptly and accurately, also it would be nice to send a notification to customer through email or text message which would save my time trying to call them to find out what was going on.
