Just signed up the a FTTN Connect Plus plan @ 50Mbps and can only get 25 Mbps max. Level 2 technical dept (whatever that is) is monitoring it. Am about 900 metres from the node and a Telstra technician has checked the connection and replaced the modem. What is the likely outcome here if the speed doesn't improve. I am reluctant to go back to a 25Mbps plan like before at 12Mbps which is barely useable. Previously ADSL gave 18Mbps so a step backwards with NBN. Should I just wear the extra cost to get something that is just useable.

The connection is ethernet and outside peak times. Thanks for help.
Yes I got only 12 on the 25 plan so going back to that is not good. The new plan will give me 25 at best but I pay for 50.
According to your line stats your link is capable of 40 Mbps but you are only getting 26 Mbps something is not right. There is also a 0 SNR which doesn't normally occur. These are my line stats when on the 25/5 speed tier.
On the 50/20 speed tier these are the link stats.
It should look something like this. The up time and the Status should be up and the connection time should be identical to xDSL link page.
It looks like the modem is faulty. In your first post you mentioned the modem had been replaced. If you still have the old modem and it is NBN compatible try connecting the old modem and see if that fixes the problem.
