Disconnect NBN

Trying to disconnect but rep resisted passing me to Disconnection Team. Telstra email says due to my connection not being able to get sufficient speeds (old copper line issues re corroded & is over 50 years old + more & needs replacing but not going to happen) & I'm renting I can't get what I paid for such as Streaming TV. NBN is slower than my 4G USB.

Did you have dropouts all the time? I ask because I am renting an older house and I've wondered if I have the same problem. Good luck, and thanks.
