I am currently facing an issue that was with me for the past few months.
Before changing to NBN, I didnt have this sort of issue.
When I try to connect to twitch or any other server thats located outside Australia, I experience a high latency and drop outs.
Edit: Mainly Japanese website and streaming services (which in the past before NBN, I had no issues)
i wonder if the cables are down or if its only me...
this is my recent speed test http://www.speedtest.net/result/7456662151
but using some speed test overseas, its like this
1.NTTPC(WebARENA)1： 944.88Kbps (117.77KB/sec)
2.NTTPC(WebARENA)2： 973.57Kbps (121.31KB/sec)
Approximately ： 973.57Kbps (121.31KB/sec)
Was this helpful?
yes! I thought so as well.
I was getting some routetracking done and getting some results.
For some reason, after connecting to japan the connection gets re routered to USA...
When these thing happens, is there a way to know when itll get fixed?
Apologies: SIKO is Tokyo
The traceroute looks perfectly fine. I also ran pingplotter on 220.127.116.11 for a while during peak time on my home connection 50/20 FTTP connection and encountered no packet loss
What type of NBN connection do you have? Upload speed seems low (especially if you're in QLD) if you're on a 100/40 plan and could be what's bottle-necking it. Can you run the test against a different server (E.g not the FOXTEL broadband one) and see if the upload dramatically changes
