Internet Disconnected No Explanation

Hi my cable internet was disconnected with no warning or explanation by telstra on sunday. After hrs on the phone with them and 2 days later they have setup a new plan for me costing more than my old plan and this im told  will take at least 24hrs to process. I have lodged a complaint already with no call back yet. At least 24 hrs ago. 

 

Can telstra employees just disconnect our service for no reason?

Is this even legal in australia?

Do we have any say in these matters?

Just a quick update. No change after 4 days of waiting. If nothing happens by Friday. I will be disconnecting all ties with this dodgey company.

With direct debit there’s no need to give paying your bill another thought.
