Have you contacted support? What type off NBN do you have? What color are the lights on the modem?

You can either give 1800 834 273 a call and speak to a consultant, or the less frustrating starting point would be to hop on your mobile and go to and follow the troubleshooting steps (it can do remote troubleshooting from the Telstra end as well). If it fails to get you up and running, it gives you a reference number to give to the phone/livechat consultants so you can bypass the initial troubleshooting again.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
