I am having trouble with my ADSL connection, and I have called tech support. They instructed me to directly plug my phone or modem into the wall, presumably to test the filter but I can't because the socket on the wall is different. (It slides in sideways, instead of plugging in)
I can't call a technician because tech support told me I will get charged if they find the problem is on my end, but I can't test if the problem is on my end?? Any ideas on what the wall socket might be called so I can google it or advice on this whole situation?
