Phone line to Gen 2 Smart Modem via surge buster???

Answered

If I run the incoming line to my modem via a surge buster to potentially protect the modem against surges/lightning is it likely to cause issues?

It shouldn't cause any problems.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

Tried it.

Reduced max line speeds by approx. 25%.

Took it out speeds back up.

I wonder if anyone makes something specifically for VDSL inputs?

Telstra Smart Modem

Plug in and connect in minutes. Smart.
