Poor Cable Connection, High Ping

In the last 24 hrs or so in the Gilles Plains SA area.

 

Ping ranging from 400 to 950ms, download slower and inconsistent, upload very slow (~0.15Mb).

 

Page loads are very slow, online gaming impossible.

 

Modem reboot fixes temporarily. Starting an online game (TF2) usually triggers the poor performance again (though not always). Closing the game doesn't fix it. Poor performance recurs eventually regardless.

 

Any help appreciated.
