Poor routing -> Perth to Singapore (again)

As with many other posts that come up once every year or so, the routing from Perth to Singapore is having issues again. Previously 60~ ping to singapore, now sitting at 250-280 from Perth. The routing is now going through Sydney to reach Singapore (again).

 

Can this please be fixed. The cable has been fixed but the routing is still going through Sydney for whatever reason.

On consumer services, there is no guaranteed latency and data is sent as best effort. Once the new indigo cable is live hopefully shouldn't seen any of these issues for a long time.

I'm sure the indigo cable will fix things, but surely the poor routing from Perth > Singapore through Sydney isn't going to be ignored, right? It's not as if it's something incredibly hard for Telstra to fix.

This is only a community forum, primarily for customers to assist other customers To my knowledge no one from the networks team monitors these posts. I'm personally not aware of the ETA of the routing being changed.

Well my contracts up & if something as fixing poor routing isn't able to be changed, I'll be moving elsewhere. Phone support aren't any help & I've seen plenty of people complain here about it.
Disappointed in Telstra once again.

AFAIK, there is again fault on the cable...

To be honest I'm not aware of any ISP in Australia (at least the major ones) that you can raised latency and routing faults to. That is generally handled by the networks team of the ISP.
