Requesting ADSL2 port?

Our exchange is being upgraded next month and I'm currently on an ADSL1 port so with some new ports coming I was wondering if it's possible to request an ADSL 2 port so I'm guaranteed one from the upgrade?

What I would be doing in when the upgrade has been completed I would call Telstra on 132200 and request a speed change.
