Static IP is not really Static IP pool - This is a big problem

Hi Guys,

 

I am having some on and off issues sending emails from the office becuase i have gotten bounces from spamhaus and nszones and apews.

 

these 3 specifically list me, but not becuase i am a spammer but becuase they reckon i dont have a static IP address.

Wait.. i pay $10 a month (never had to before only telstra seems to do this) and i do have a static IP

 

Further investigation shows that all telstra did was statically assign me a dynamic IP address, as in its an IP in the global dynamic IP pool.

NOT COOL !

 

I need to be assigned a proper static IP, who do i contact about this ? 

(please refrain from advising to use a smart host, no)

If you are using a domain to send/receive your emails, then you will need to set the PTR to that it points to that domain. 

 

This is not a feature available for BigPond services, so you may prefer to change to business grade service which does have this option:
