Telstra Outages results in extra charge to me!!

Telstra outages over 3 days well publicised and confirmed. Forced to use my data resulting in Telstra charging additional charge. Complained to Telstra. No resolution or apology. Telstra are **bleep**. Poor customer service. Am looking for a new provider!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you call Telstra whilst the outage was in progress (makes it easier to claim compensation once outage concludes)? They could have also provided some extra data on your mobile service at the time.

 

You can lodge a formal complaint via https://telstra.com/complaints if the frontline consultants haven't been able to resolve the situation for you.

Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.

No one "forced" you to use your mobile data and Telstra often provides an interim service during outages for customers that need it if requested.
