Unexpected NBN technician visit - legitimate?

At 8AM today I was visited by technicians claiming to be from NBN.  We do have an outstanding NBN order, but the original visit was scheduled for March 20 and cancelled (although it remains on the track order details).  There is nothing on the order to indicate a visit today on the 'track order'.  What is going on here?

Couldn't tell you for sure. It could be legitimate, could be scammers and it is a coincidence that they picked your house.

Did you ask them for ID?

I was not at home when they came - my daughter advised me.

What is concerning is that the 'track order' Telstra application had no record of the visit.  Is this common?

Re: Unexpected NBN technician visit - legitimate?

Given that the techs don't work for Telstra (they work for NBN Co), it wouldn't surprise me if there was no record of the visit.
