bigpond broadband cable dropouts. ready to change provider.

hi i have liberty broadband cable with telstra via a netgear cg 3100D. telstra have been here twice already for this problem. both times it has been fixed but about 30 days on back come the droputs. reboot it, reset it, unplug it, disconnect it and everything else in between. on both visits the tech has commented on the power dbmv being inncorrect above 9 downstream and 57 upstream. after the first visit telstra came and checked the pit and went ok for a month then dropouts again. then the last visit he said if it does it again i will need and amplifier. i begged him to install one then and there. really pissed they seem to think checking for corrosion everytime and resetting it fixes it. when down the track the problem resumes. i have 2 foxtel iq boxes and bigpond. here are the current connection stats. the upstream was at 57dbmv.

it seems whenever they upstream goes above 55dbmv i get drop outs. if i a simple truckdriver can work this out why can't a tech. goin to ring bigpond again. get another service call. ready to cancel the contract because they are failing to deliver the service that is advertised and paid for.
