telstra throttling my speed

I have been installing games lately at around 700KB/s (very slow but that is my average speed), but in the last week my internet has been terribly slow, about 130KB/s, I would like to know what it causing this. is it Telstra throttling my internet as i having been installing a ton of games, or something completely different. thank you

There are a number of possible cases for a drop on speeds. The first thing to check is whether or not you have a home broadband plan with a monthly data limit, and if you've used 100% of your allowance. Login to your My Account online:  http://tel.st/wl7c7 or the 24x7 App:  http://tel.st/3xalg to check your usage meter. 

 

If you're not currently shaped for exceeding your limit please troubleshoot here:  http://tel.st/wm2x6

and http://tel.st/7cnk3 which may resolve or help to determine the cause of your dropped speeds.
