It's ok. Just my lack of understanding is the problem. When my NBN was connected I got a card with wi-fi details and password so I assumed this entitled me to free wi-fi to my home not realizing I had to purchase a package to enable me to use wi-fi. I should know you don't get nothin for nothin.

Are you able to clarify the concern there? You have mentioned that you have connected to the nbn with Telstra and have received a new modem?
