Home phone fault

Home phone not working.  When dialed from mobile message says line busy.  But it isn’t.   What do I do?

If it's an NBN connection please reboot your modems with 3 minutes off.
If not ... disconnect all handsets and any extension leads , alarm etc and check. If ok then add back each phone and check if you have a faulty handset to isolate any fault.
If still engaged ring faults on 132203

The faults team on 132203 will be able to test and escalate the phone issue and organise a diversion or interim phone option.
