Landline not working

Just had the NBN and Telstra modem installed..Tech checked phone by ringing it and it worked, 2 days later the phones working but you can only dial out and if you dial the home  number the other phone we have in another room not connected to the NBN rings and the NBN phone just sits there in idle not ringing or doing nothing. We have had the phone ported from Optus to Telstra.

Looks like Telstra has programmed the number to the old port in the exchange. Why telstra would do this two days after you transferred to NBN is a mystery. The only way to fix this is to contact Telstra support 1800 834 273

You still have another phone plugged into the wall socket?
